The organizing authority for this regatta is The Hudson Yacht Club and The International Etchells Canadian Fleet 3.
1. Rules
1.1 This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing except as modified by the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions and any amendments thereto.
1.2 .This regatta is an Etchells Class C sanctioned event.
1.3 This regatta is classified Category A in accordance with Appendix 1 – ISAF Advertising code.
2. Eligibility. Shall be in accordance with IECA Rules (CR) Appendix A
3.Registration and Measurement.
3.1 Eligible boats shall register with the Organizing Authority before10:00 am. June 4th 2004
3.2 All boats shall be checked for compliance with IECA Rules and shall present a current original Hull and Spar Certificate and Sail Card.
3.3 Sail Cards will be inspected. All sails presented for inspection must already be listed on the owner’s sail card.
3.4 During the competition any boat may be subject to inspection.
3.5 Crew members will be weighed, IECA One-Design Rule 7.1
3.6 It is strongly recommended that Skippers and Co-Skippers carry adequate liability insurance to cover any damages, losses or injuries caused by or related to their participation in the regatta.
4. Entries. 4.1 For entries and payment received before May 28th the entry fee is $125 cdn.
4.2 For entries and payment received after May 28th the entry fee is $175 cdn.
4.3 Entry forms are available on- line at www.hudsonyachtclub.com , please make cheques payable to Hudson Yacht Club and mail to HYC, Box 130 Hudson, Quebec, Can. J0P 1H0
The entry fee includes 3 BBQ dinners on Friday evening.

5. Notices TO Competitors. Notices to competitors will be posted on the Official Regatta Notice Board located on the clubhouse veranda
6. Schedule of events.
-Thursday June 3rd. 1500 – 2100 Registration and Measurement
-Friday June 4th 0800 – 1000 Registration and Measurement
1015 - Skipper’s meeting on the veranda at HYC
1200 - First Race
-Saturday June 5th 1000 - First Race of the day
-Sunday June 6th 1000 - First Race of the day
No race will start after 1300 on Sunday June 6th,
The awards ceremony will be as soon as possible after the last race on Sunday.
7. Venue. Racing will take place on the Lake of Two Mountains.
8. Sailing Instructions.. Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.
9. Haul Out. All boats must be in the water by 1030 Friday June 4th and shall not be hauled during the regatta except with prior permission of the Organizing Committee.
10. Scoring.
10.1The Low-Point Scoring System, RRS Appendix A will apply except that each yachts total score will be the sum of her scores for all races unless six races are sailed. If six races or more are sailed each yacht’s worst score will be excluded.
10.2 A minimum of three races must be completed to constitute a series
10.3 Nine races are planned
11. Prizes. Keeper prizes will be awarded for first through third place.
12. Identification. Boats may be required to display bow numbers and or event sponsor’s logo.
13. Support Boats. The access of coach and support boats will be restricted and prohibited from providing assistance to boats that are racing. Coach and support boat drivers will need to check in with Registration and on race days with the Race Committee.
