Directions to the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center From interstate 89, north or south: Get off 89 at exit 14 west. This is also known as Route 2, which in turn becomes Main Street once you get into Burlington, proper. Continue west past the University of Vermont, and down a hill—you’ll see the lake in front of you. Main Street will eventually T at a set of lights. Go straight through this set of lights and head for the old railroad station that is ahead of you. This building is One Main Street. The road bears to the right and down a slight hill. Follow the road until you come to the next stop sign. Looking to the left you'll see a large pagoda style building which is the Burlington Boathouse. Continue straight through this stop and along the waterfront park which will be on your left. It will take you by some parking lots on the right and eventually past a skateboard park (if you get lost, just ask directions to the skateboard park). This road narrows a bit, the bears left and across some railroad tracks. The skateboard park is just before the road turns left. Just after the railroad tracks, turn right onto a dirt road (watch the bumps) that will head toward a large, multi-story old brick building. I believe it says Burlington Electric or something like that on it. The Sailing Center is located on the opposite side of that building, and the dirt road will turn left and right into the entrance of the Sailing Center. As you pull in, you should be able to rig your boat in a grassy area off to the right. The hoist is around the front of the building. Sailing Center phone number—802-864-2499.
